I survived!

Hello Blends!

Ok…so I just have to quickly admit that every time I see someone using the word “blend”, I instead wish that we could all refer to ourselves as “blog groupies”, just so that I could call you Bloopies (aka “blue-pies;) ).

Anyway….

Obviously the weekend has passed and I have yet to come back to a.) impart some final pre-race wisdom and (more importantly) b.) tell you how the race went!

This weekend got a little busier than anticipated so there wasn’t much time for blogging.  But I did want to let everyone know (because I’m sure you’re anxious) that I am alive!! I survived my first 1/2 marathon and I loved it!

I’m working on the race recap but it’s grown a little long.  I plan on posting my full report tonight.  In the meantime, I just wanted to take a moment to thank you all for your wonderful words of encouragement!  You all are so supportive and it means a lot!  :)

  7. Yay well done! Have I imagined it, or didn’t I read that you’ve already run a few marathons before? You’ve just never done a half?

    • haha…no, you didn’t imagine it! I’ve done 3 marathons before but jumped right into them before trying the Half. So it was definitely a new experience figuring out how to “race” the shorter distance.

  8. HOOOOOORAY for surviving your half and loving it! Now, I’m going to be reading about you running a Half every month! I can’t wait for your race wisdom so I can steal it since I have my own in June. (ACK!)

    By the way, I would totally be a bloopie. That sounds much better than blend. For some reason, when I read blend, I just think of a blender, then I think of homemade pesto sauce, smoothie or salsa. Then I get hungry. Bloopie makes me think of whoopie cushion and cracks me up.
